I cateteri endovenosi periferici sono la procedura invasiva più comune eseguita negli ospedali.1 Sebbene sia una procedura ospedaliera di routine, il posizionamento dei PIVC rimane un'attività complessa associata a complicanze e rischi sia per i pazienti che per il personale medico, come ad esempio:

  • Fuoriuscita ed esposizione al sangue
  • Complicanze correlate al catetere quali spostamento, infiltrazione, stravaso, flebite e infezione2
  • Lesioni da puntura d'ago e infezioni correlate

 

Poiché l'accesso al paziente è così comune, i PIVC svolgono un ruolo chiave nel migliorare la qualità della terapia infusionale. I cateteri intravenosi periferici B. Braun possono aiutare a prevenire molti di questi rischi e costi conseguenti.

It is a single-use device to generate intravascular and tissue access to sample blood, monitor blood pressure, or administer fluids and blood intravascularly. Introcan Safety® 3 is also indicated for subcutaneous infusion therapies and 325 psi power injector applications (14G – 24G).
